Louisiana State University (LSU) Museum of Art, Shaw Center for the Arts in Baton Rouge presents "A Tale of Two Cities: Eugene Atget’s Paris and Berenice Abbott’s New York", a photographic exhibition from May 20 to July 22, 2012.
More than an exhibition of architectural photography, "A Tale of Two Cities" examines the work of two artists, French Eugene Atget (1857/1927) and American Berenice Abbott (1898/1991), who were linked to the development of modern photography.
In conjunction with "A Tale of Two Cities" the LSU Textile and Costume Museum will showcase dresses and fashionable accessories from New York and Paris of this epoch.
