Better informing and welcoming expats in New Orleans
Triggered by and in partnership with the Consulate general of France in New Orleans, the French-American Chamber of Commerce and the Alliance Française have decided to implement ways to better inform French people wishing to live in New Orleans or for example how to create a business in Louisiana.
The French-American Chamber of Commerce has decided to appoint M. Pierre-Marseille de Saboulin as a point of contact (firstname.lastname@example.org) for all general or preliminary questions concerning the creation of a company or settling for business reasons in Louisiana.
The members of the Alliance Françaises of New Orleans have also accepted the challenge and are examioning the possibility of creating a "New Orleans Welcome bureau", as it is the only American city without one. M. D. Henderson has accepted to be Liaison Committee Pilot with the Consulate. The aim will be to advise and have contacts for the French on practical and daily questions.
These efforts will help the Consulate to complete information and as an example, to establish a list of Francophone doctors or lawers.
